Sobriety and Vigilence

Thankfully, Peter relates to us that not all hope is gone. Though we may suffer in our resistance, we will not be blotted out. Job survived. David endured. Israel has endured despite numerous genocide attempts throughout history. Jesus died and was resurrected, paving the path for us to follow, should we believe in him. Thus we have hope, and thus we find that we should heed the words of scripture. Do not live carelessly. We have been given wisdom through Christ. If you go out in risk, as we all do, heed what God has shared with us through his Word, his Son, his Spirit. Though such efforts are difficult and often against our fallen and selfish desires, they are always proved worthwhile in the end.
